The vessel was surveyed whilst ashore on [date]. The survey was conducted within the limitations stated below and is submitted without prejudice. It implies no guarantee against faulty design or latent defect, or the suitability of the vessel to any purpose that she may be utilised, nor does it address vessel stability unless stated herein. This report is confidential to the client having instructed this survey and may not be otherwise reproduced except with permission from the surveyor. Limitations of Survey During this survey, no dismantling or destructive testing has been conducted. That is to say that no ceilings, linings, joinery or carpentry, fastenings or indeed any other parts of the vessel which are covered, unexposed, inaccessible or not available during the time of the survey have not been examined/surveyed and therefore this report cannot guarantee that any such part or item of equipment is free from defect. The topsides, decks and underbody were visually inspected. Several areas of anti-fouling have been removed to allow visual inspection of the hull epoxy coating beneath and to allow moisture meter readings to be taken were appropriate. Areas of the hull not examined beneath the anti-fouling cannot be commented upon. The use of a sounding hammer to aid detection of delamination and voids is only usually reliable for detecting larger areas of imperfection. Small voids will usually go undetected. Were the mast is stepped, the mast, spars and rigging have been visually inspected from deck level only, the upper sections cannot be commented upon. Full inspection of the sails was not feasible; inspection should be made by a sail maker The machinery, stern gear and electrical systems have been visually inspected only and no operating or dismantling for the purpose of inspection has been conducted unless stated herein. None of the fastenings or stern gear have been drawn or removed for inspection. Therefore the mechanical condition of the engine(s)/gearbox, drive system and electrical system is beyond the scope of this survey. If any doubt exists as to the condition of any items of equipment stated in this paragraph, then a marine engineering surveyor should be instructed. |

None of the services (gas, electrical, plumbing, heads, skin fittings or other) have been operated unless specified herein and have been visually inspected only. If a gas appliance was fitted, it has not been pressure tested; it is recommended that a suitably qualified (CORGI) gas engineer inspect the gas system. Any tanks (fuel, holding or water) have been externally examined only and no internal inspection has been conducted. They have remained in situ throughout the survey and the contents have not been tested for contamination unless requested [additional cost]. The vessel has not been pressure tested for water tightness and therefore the integrity of the windows, hatches and external doors cannot be guaranteed. Skin fittings have been visually inspected and where possible, operated, but no dismantling has taken place. I have not examined any of the electronic devices that are part of the inventory, except by switching and visual inspection only, and therefore unable to report that any such item is free from defect. A full inventory has not been conducted. No internal ballast, or keel bolts where fitted, have been removed for inspection. If there is concern as to the condition of such items then it is recommended that a suitably qualified person be instructed to draw and check the condition. All measurements taken at the time of survey are approximate only. The ownership, legal and financial status of the vessel is not commented on, nor any compliance/suitability to any code of practice.
