Welcome to the website of David M Simms, small craft and yacht surveyor. A serving officer of the Royal Navy for 16 years, diploma qualified, graduate member of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors and a full member of the Cornwall Marine Network.

Based in Helston near Falmouth, Cornwall, I have easy access to the boatyards and marinas of both Cornwall and Devon although my work is not limited to this specific area, travelling further by appointment. I am conveniently located to the marinas of Falmouth, Mylor, Penzance and Fowey.

Primarily, my specialist area concerns boat surveys for the purpose of obtaining insurance but I do undertake other vessel survey related work including project management and consultancy.
